I am trying to do some details on Season 5 and need to know: Who's going to be in charge of farm on an ongoing basis, and what are the plans throughout the season?

I can still do it depending on what our plans are for this. Will it run during our season as well or just in between?

The original idea (I believe) was to run it for short "seasons" throughout the regular season, so that incoming people and folks still learning can keep playing. Then, having a "mini-draft" about every two weeks of folks who are ready and willing to move on to the regular divisions.

I'm having a tough time getting answers on this. It's possible that the offlines I have sent just haven't gotten through to people. Or perhaps my own capped or something.

I think the farm division is a fantastic idea and that we absolutely need to continue it. It made a huge difference in readiness of rookies.

Let's continue it. We'll proceed with the idea of 3 week seasons with drafts to the regular divisions every two weeks. The idea being to get people used to playing and have puck time and be ready to move on to main division. The folks playing on farm should not be seasoned rookies (that defeats the purpose) but rookies. Vets can play to fill out games and should play positions not their usual, and encourage puck going to rookies as much as possible.

I will schedule a first farm session to begin some time in May after RL work today. The only thing I need is a commitment from coaches. I've sent out messages. Naida and Fury have said they will continue, otherwise I haven't heard back here or in game. So we need either a commitment to continue from last seasons coaches or volunteers for new ones.

So far:

Crocs: Naida has committed.
Landsharks: Fury has committed.
Admirals:
Eagles:

I can volunteer for one although my main problem is not being available on Monday and Wednesday nights. I can also do the reffing as long as games are not those nights.

Summer starts soon. Because I'll be lookin for a job, I can't commit yet.

IPR has also committed to coaching again for the Admirals. Bobby has too much RL stuff going on, things are picking up for him there so he will not be able to take on the full role. Therefore Eagles need a coach. I told him I can, unless there is someone else who would like to do this. Please let me know if so.

Ok IPR also is still wanting to coach Admirals. So we can do this.

Admirals: IPR
Crocs: Naida and Fall
Eagles: me
Landsharks: Fury

That is one option anyway unless Fall wants to take the Eagles. All teams I am sure are open to multiple coaches. I can go ahead and schedule an upcoming 3 week season. If anyone has suggestions or wants to volunteer please let me know ASAP.
