I had a report of people getting this problem and have received this reply.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for your e-mail. We made some changes to the login process yesterday, and unfortunately for some users it caused this error to occur.
However, the problem should now be fixed, and you should now be able to log into the site. If you are still unable to log into the site, just let us know the exact wording of any error messages you are seeing, and we will look into it right away.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
