I can't even imagine what living that kind of life under the constant media spotlight, combined with an unhealthy relationship and apparently an addictive personality would lead one to. I guess that being an elite entertainer really takes a toll judging from the numbers of stars who've ended up in similar circumstances.
It's truly tragic to see someone with so much talent fall into the spiral of self-destructive behavior.
I also don't think it's just a '60s issue either Kert; Amy Winehouse and Heath Ledger are prime examples. I think it's more a certain personality type combined with wealth, easy access to all sorts of dangerous substances, and hangers on who will cover up or facilitate destructive behavior. |
