My boy just turned 15. He just started high school last month. Sweetest kid you'd ever meet, good-looking, always has girls fussing over him since he was little. Some of you may know, he is disabled--mostly physical but some learning disabilities too. Real smart though.
So I take him into school again today. As usual he's got a couple girls hugging on him before we even get to the classroom.
This time, though, one turns to me after hugging him and says abruptly: "Hi Dad! Is it ok if me and him date? I thought I should ask you because I'm a senior!"
First girlfriend. A senior.
