It's confirmed. SLHA can survive anything! Fights on the ice? No problem! Fights off the ice! No problemo! Drama? No sweat! For those of you who have been around this week, you've just lived through it! And I think we have some kudos to give out. First of all, I think you ALL deserve a pat on the back for keeping the drama to a minimum as much as possible. There could have been a lot more ugliness, but there wasn't. Kudos on all the adult and caring behavior.
Secondly, kudos to the team captains who have been outstanding through this situation. There's a reason all of you were voted in as captain. Your diplomacy and tact in dealing with this situation and the league is stunning.
Third, I want to give a special thanks to Honoria, August, Katia, Dyz, Patrice and Nic. That's on a personal level, and for your endless support and goodwill over the last week.
Fourth, thanks to IPR for the time and effort he is putting in to Hockey Town. The week there was frustrating for him and while this has gotten a bit thrown underneath the larger issue this week, we appreciate all you do and will assist any way possible.
Fifth, special kudos and encouragement to the Rebels. You are not "the opposing team" to us. You're part of us, and valued league members.
Finally, I know Dyz does not really like public recognition, but I feel it's mandatory. It is because of Dyz' scripting ideas..primarily the stats, other awesome original new features, and now the security additions..that SLHA will continue to thrive. If he hadn't been around and kicking in so much valuable time and effort, we'd be in a much bigger mess. Dyz, this applause is for you. |

I'd like to personally thank you Mr. Belvedere for all the work you do and not killing everyone for all the complaining and things that have happen. It's been a rough time this season, lots of problems on and off the ice. Even though we can tend to give you a rough time, I can say fairly safely that we all appreciate the work and dedication you put into the league and it wouldn't be the same league without you as the Commish. I also don't think you hear thank you often enough so.. thank you thank you thank you thank you! ^^
The same goes for everyone that helps out with scripting and stuff, I think it's about time we just get back to playing some fun hockey games as friends and have faith that Jack and everyone have things under control.  |
