 As most of you know, SLCN has started back up at the games with our own illustrious August and Kert providing very entertaining commentary. During the last part of season 6, this has taken off, and will resume for the new season!

 Attention Retired or Inactive players! Are you are interested in becoming active again for Season 7? Season 7 will be starting on January 4th, 2009. We will be having a draft on or around 12/14/08. If you're coming back, you may want to jump into some of the 5pm daily scrimmages at the rink. The script has changed significantly since the last time you were here and you will be thrilled with the realistic and stunning improvements! All the updated equipment is, as always, available at the rink.
If you are interested in returning, please make sure you inform me in game, preferably with a return of the S7 Intention notecard. My offline IMs frequently cap, so if you get no response from me, please try again. Thanks!

Ok, it's true we don't normally have a quote of the week. But this one is deserving of a one-time Quote of the Week.

"I'd like to file a formal complaint. I was shouted down by a Kert Upshaw supporter while at the polls casting my vote. Overwhelmed by his violent intimidation, I had a reasonable fear for my well being, and, as such, I changed my vote from a straight Belvedere ticket to a straight Upshaw ticket. I was under the assumption, we as people of the SLHA, enjoyed living under a democratic umbrella. My utopian ideals were shattered that day, stolen by the thuggery of these Upshaw supporters.

 First of all, congrats so far on the playoff teams' great efforts! The Moose won the first round of playoffs and will face the Ice Lords in a best-of-7 series beginning right after Thanksgiving weekend, on December 2nd.
Next....a little kudos going out to everyone in SLHA. We celebrate going into our SEVENTH season as the finest sports organization inside Second Life! This is no small accomplishment. SLHA, hats off to all of you!

Just a kudos to all the people who help each other and this league so much with your time, lindens, efforts and enthusiasm. SLHA is not a one or two person effort. For 1 or 2 to do it successfully alone, it would have to be a full-time RL paying job. We are a group of varied personalities and opinions who all manage to come together and make it work. Sometimes it seems like a LOT of work in order to make a handful of games a week function, but every successful, long-lasting thing takes work and many hands and I applaud everyone who does so much behind-the-scenes to make this league keep growing and improving!!
